About Me
For over 12 years I have used the lens of Pilates to explore how our bodies can efficiently and effectively move through space. We tend to get stagnant in our daily lives, our bodies forgetting our full range of motion capabilities and our minds becoming less confident. With movement we can return to feeling more control, support, and freedom. It is my hope that I can act as a guide if you are wanting to gain strength, manage injuries, and understand more about your body. It's the best thing in the world when someone I'm working with gets that "lightbulb" moment where the movement clicks and they understand and regain power within their body. My teaching style blends functional movement, mobility, strength, and knowledge from my lifelong background in dance. I am forever a student and am led by my 453-hour comprehensive certification with Polestar Pilates through the first evidence-based comprehensive Teacher Training Program at the university level. Influenced by my international internship with Springs Studio founder Alexander Bohlander, Empowered Performance by Katie St. Clair, Anatomy Trains, and Dr. Sarah Duvall, I am always learning. In addition to training I am a big fan of couch snuggles with my rescue pup Sophia, line dancing, finding the best bakeries, and being in nature. I intend to find joy in movement for as long as I can and it is my passion to help others have the same freedom.
